Variation axes. Composition, mood, layout, more

Siren's templates are not static. Each template has a set of variation axes: structural choices that produce different outputs while keeping the template's core grammar intact.

What an axis is

An axis is a discrete choice that changes how a template renders. Examples:

  • Composition axis on App Showcase: 1up-hero, 2up-flat, 2up-tilted, 3up-flat, 3up-vertical-stagger. Same template, five different layouts.
  • Mood axis on Atmospheric Wallpaper: calm, starry, clouded. Same sky gradient system, three distinct moods.
  • Window chrome axis on Dashboard SaaS: macOS, browser, none.
  • Cover style on Deepdive Carousel: editorial, stats-forward, brand-hero.

Axes are curated structural choices the design team validated as on-brand for each template. You are not getting a random aesthetic. You are getting a different layout from a set of intentional options.

How axes are selected

The Reasoner picks the axis value during the Designing stage, based on your prompt. The choice is seeded from a hash of your prompt, so it is deterministic: same prompt, same axis value, every run.

You can override axis values in the Tweaks panel after a generation completes.

The Tweaks panel

After a campaign run completes, the Tweaks panel appears beside the asset. Changing an axis value re-renders the asset without re-running the Reasoner. Cards take 8–15 seconds. Video takes 60–90 seconds. Tweaks cost credits.

Note. Tweaks re-render. They do not regenerate. The copy, angle, and Brand DNA application stay fixed from the original run. Only the visual structure changes. If you want a different angle, write a new prompt.

Variant generator

The Variant Generator (Campaigns β†’ run β†’ Generate variants) runs the Reasoner four times on the same prompt with different diversification prompts: conservative, bold, minimalist, and playful. Each variant picks a different template and axis combination. The four variants count as one generation unit against your plan quota.

Use variants when you want to compare directions for a prompt before committing to one. Use Tweaks when you want to refine a direction you have already chosen.
