Caps and money. What Siren can and can't spend
Siren works inside two numbers you set on Caps: the most all your live campaigns can spend in a day, and the most they can spend in a month. They cover every platform together. Until you save your own, they are $20 a day and $300 a month, and the Caps page says so.
The rules Siren keeps
| Change | What happens |
|---|---|
| Turn a campaign on | Only by your tap on the go-live card, which shows the cost a day and the most this month |
| Raise a live budget | Shows the same card first; nothing moves until you tap |
| Lower a budget | Applies now and is logged |
| Pause | Applies now, always allowed |
| Pass a cap | Refused, with the room you have left |
| Raise a cap | Only you, on the Caps page |
The daily cap can't be higher than the monthly cap; Caps refuses it inline. Ask the chat for "$1,000 a day" with a $20 cap and Siren says what the cap is and where you can raise it. She never changes it herself.
When the month runs out
Each time Siren syncs, she checks what is spent this month against your monthly cap. If another day of your live budgets would pass it, she pauses every live campaign, logs why, and tells you by alert and email. Turn them back on next month, or raise the cap.
When the ad account can't spend
If Meta stops your account (an unpaid bill, a card that failed, a policy hold), campaigns can still show as on while nothing runs. Siren reads the account's state and puts it at the top of the Ads page in plain words, with a button to fix it in Meta. Going live while the account can't spend is refused with that reason. Ad account balance shows what each account has spent, its limit and the platform's billing link. No app can add money to an ad account, Siren included.
Credits and ad money are separate
Making ads uses Siren credits, like any video or ad creative. Boosting a post you already made uses none. Ad spend is never paid in credits: the platform bills your card.
