Sales tracking and audiences

The Siren tag

Open Sales on the Ads page. It gives you two snippets:

  1. A tag for every page, before </head>.
  2. One line to call when someone signs up or buys.

The tag counts only on the websites you list (and their subdomains), so a copy on someone else's site counts for nothing. Sales shows when it last saw the tag and on which page.

Emails are hashed in the visitor's browser before they leave the page. If your site has a consent banner, call siren('consent', false) until the visitor agrees: then no cookie is set and nothing is counted or sent, not even the first page view.

Hand it to your developer

Someone else runs the site? On Sales, Copy setup for your developer copies one note with everything: the tag with your key, the sign-up and purchase calls, consent, how to check it works, and where the tag goes in Next.js, React or Vite, Webflow, Framer, WordPress and Shopify. Download SIREN-TRACKING.md saves the same note as a file. An agent connected over MCP gets it from tracking_setup, and in Siren's chat you can ask for it.

When the tag is in, load a page of your site: the Tag tile on Sales changes from Not seen yet to Seen just now, with the page it saw.

Where it goes

Pick a Meta pixel, or let Siren make one, and every sign-up and sale goes to Meta as it happens, so Meta can find more people like them. A test code sends events marked as tests that don't change how campaigns are optimised. X and Reddit ad accounts can receive them too. Google and TikTok join the same tag as each platform opens.

Money made back

Connect Stripe with a restricted, read-only key (Developers, API keys, restricted key with Charges and Customers set to Read). Siren matches each buyer to the ad that brought them, and the Ads page shows what each campaign made back next to what it spent. A full secret key is refused.

Audiences

Audiences turns the people Siren knows (sign-ups from the tag, Stripe buyers, and any list you upload) into a customer list on Meta. Uploaded lists are hashed in your browser; the raw emails never leave it. A lookalike of that list (the people in a country most like your customers) needs at least 100 people. New campaigns can leave your existing customers out and reach the lookalike instead. Siren keeps the list up to date every hour.
